Volen-games sells digital products and digital subscription services. Because digital content is delivered immediately upon purchase, all sales are generally final.
By completing a purchase, you expressly acknowledge that you are purchasing digital content and/or access to a digital service that is made available immediately after payment.
Digital Products (Non-Subscription)
No Returns on Digital Content
Due to the nature of digital products, we do not offer returns or refunds once:
- The digital product has been delivered, downloaded, accessed, or made available to the customer.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Downloadable software
- Digital games or game content
- Digital codes
- Online content or access keys
This policy complies with Michigan law, which does not require refunds for digital goods once delivery has occurred, provided the policy is clearly disclosed prior to purchase.
Subscriptions & Recurring Payments
Subscription Authorization
By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Volen-games to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until the subscription is canceled.
The subscription details, billing frequency, and price are clearly disclosed at checkout and in your account.
Subscription Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard.
Cancellation stops future billing only.
Previously charged subscription payments are non-refundable, including partial billing periods.
Access to subscription content remains active until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
Exceptions (Limited Refunds)
Refunds may be issued at our sole discretion in the following cases:
- Duplicate charges caused by a technical error
- Failure to deliver the digital product due to our fault and inability to resolve the issue
- Billing errors verifiably caused by our system
Refunds are not provided for:
Claims of unauthorized payment after prior successful use of the same account or payment method
Accidental purchases
Failure to cancel a subscription before renewal
Disputes raised instead of contacting support
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
If a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated:
- Access to the associated digital product or subscription may be suspended immediately
- The dispute will be contested when records show authorized use, prior successful payments, or continued access
Initiating a chargeback instead of contacting support may result in account termination.
Sale Items & Promotions
Discounted or promotional digital products and subscriptions are final sale and are not eligible for refunds.
How Refunds Are Processed (If Approved)
If a refund is approved:
Processing times depend on the payment provider and financial institution
It will be issued to the original method of payment
